Thanks for the opportunity to be involved in my first BPN event. I was especially interested in learning about the CSR Way given the shared history of our companies, and keen to take on board some learnings to help drive our lean program refinement under increasing cost pressure in our industry. I was impressed with the “CSR Way” presentation and the standardised approach used across varying business units. The success stories spoke for themselves, and I’m looking forward to implementing some of the practical approaches as we further develop our own systems.
The site tour following the presentations was very enjoyable. The automation and control of the process at CSR Monier was impressive, and the engagement of the employees who seemed to understand and enjoy their roles in the operation was clear. I’m planning on stealing the idea of the aircraft headsets for conducting site tours, so practical in an operating environment, and way more fun than shouting!
